"No Warehouse" Campaign

lake meade.webp

If built, the warehouses will cause an incredible increase in the volume of tractor trailer traffic. Emissions from these vehicles will significantly decrease air and water quality in the area. Municipal drinking water is held in reservoirs in this area and this is also very close to the Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge. It is certain that this warehouse development, if built, would cause a marked increase in damaging runoff into these critical water resources. Particulates that are spewed into the air would also affect these waters and the particulates also cause many health problems in humans.
